Your Very Own Custom Made SeaDek Marine Nonskid SUP Traction Pad
When starting the beginning of my career in the water sport industry at a Stand Up Paddle Board rental company, The SUP Connection, my passion for the sport grew tremendously. Couple months into the new company, I was rewarded with my very own ‘Killer’ stand up paddle board. I fell in love with the size and color, but soon started to realize the original traction pad was not working out. The length of the pad did not cover the board enough, leaving too much space at the front making it slippery for my dog who rides with me! I also started to notice that the top layer of the pad was falling off piece by piece. The Pup Deck at the front was great, But just needed that traction pad to come up a little higher.
A friend of mine who works at Sacksteders Custom Wake (SC Wake), insisted that I create a custom traction pad for my board! SC Wake specializes in custom design SeaDek- a non-skid marine flooring used on boats, pool decking, homes, recreational vehicles and now stand up paddle boards! I couldn’t thank Greg Kroger enough for the step-by-step guidance in the process. Now I am a lucky owner of a gorgeous new SeaDek traction pad that covers my entire board, with my very own SUP Pups San Diego Logo at the front. Now Jack is able to ride safely and comfortably at the front while cruising the San Diego Bay on our Stand Up Paddle Board Lessons with Pups!
